How will teams communicate?
Team communication takes place primarily through Discord, with GitHub used for source code and collaboration.
Can I win if I am not a developer?
Absolutely. Hackathons are team competitions, and contributions from all disciplines are valued equally.
Do all team members receive prizes?
Yes, provided they are identified as active contributors according to event rules.
What do we need to submit?
Teams must submit a presentation, video demo, source code, supporting documentation, and an attendance roster of active participants before the deadline. All content must be submitted in English.
How are projects judged?
Projects are evaluated based on Impact, Design, Innovation & Business Case, Technical Complexity, Ease of Use, Code Coverage, Project Management, and Presentation.
Can projects be open source?
Yes. In fact, all projects will be made open-source on GitHub at the conclusion of the event to encourage future collaboration.
Can we build on an existing project?
Preferably not. However, if teams choose to do so, they should clearly disclose any pre-existing work and demonstrate the new functionality created during the hackathon.
Can we use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini?
Yes. AI-assisted development is permitted. Teams should understand and be able to explain the code and content they submit.
Do we have to use a specific programming language or technology stack?
No. Teams are free to use whatever tools, languages, frameworks, and platforms best fit their solution.
