The 4th annual Veeam Community Hackathon will start on Oct. 7, 2026, at 15:00 CEST/9:00 AM EST.
- Teams of 12-18 will work together and consist of people from all over the world, with the ultimate goal of bringing the world together.
- The teams should make the life of an end-user easier by creating a complementary product to one of the existing Veeam products.
- An example of this would be Jorge’s Grafana dashboards. There is no requirement for a tech stack or tools used.

- Opening Ceremony – Oct 7, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST to 16:00 CEST/10 AM EST
- Ideation Period – Oct 7, 16:00 CEST/10 AM EST to Oct 12, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST
- Implementation Period – Oct 12, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST to Oct 16, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST
- Half-Time Show – Oct 13, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST to 17:00 CEST/11 AM EST
- Presentation Submission Deadline – Oct 16, 23:00 CEST/5 PM EST
- Judging Period – Oct 19, 23:00 CEST/5 PM EST to Oct 22, 23:00 CEST/5 PM EST
- Results Announcement – Oct 23, 15:00 CEST/9 AM EST
There will be prizes for the winning teams and additional prizes or honourable mentions.
- We do not have a limit to who can participate! The only requirement is that you are 18 years or older at the event’s start.
- You are not required to have any knowledge of Veeam’s products, but having some is preferred.
- We also need different disciplines, skill sets, etc.
- Tasks in a team could be coding, testing, designing, creating the presentation, documentation, research, etc.
- No one is expected to be available for the entire hackathon hours.

Communication within the teams will be done using Discord. Each team will get a set of private channels for communication.
The teams will also get a private GitHub Team and a private Git repository. Once judging is complete, the repositories will be made public.
